The Christian Science Publishing Society publishes The Christian Science Monitor, a weekly newspaper covering domestic and international news. The not-for-profit paper employs writers in about a dozen countries (it does not run articles from wire services such as the Associated Press and Reuters) and has won several Pulitzer Prizes for journalism. In addition to the print version of the paper, the Monitor publishes daily content online and syndicates its news stories through The Christian Science Monitor News Service. The Christian Science Monitor was established in 1908 by Mary Baker Eddy, founder of Christian Science. The Christian Science Publishing Society is owned by The First Church of Christ, Scientist.
