Better known to supporters as the Rams, Derby County F.C. was founded in 1884 and has played its home matches at Pride Park Stadium since 1997. Legendary manager Brian Clough took charge of second-division Derby in 1967 and in five years took them to Derby’s first and only league title and a semi-final appearance in the European cup. Derby plays its home games at 34,000 capacity Pride Park Stadium. Derby County F.C. is owned by local businessman Mel Morris, who took over from US-based sports consulting firm General Sports & Entertainment in 2015.
