Where there’s a will, there’s a Way. Working to raise money for charitable causes, United Way Worldwide unites some 1,800 namesake organizations active in about 40 countries and territories. While its specific priorities are set by local entities, the global organization tends to focus on helping children achieve their potential, promoting financial stability, and improving access to health care. Major recipients of its contributions have included the American Cancer Society, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Catholic Charities, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, and The Salvation Army, among other worthy organizations. United Way Worldwide was formed by the merger of United Way of America and United Way International.
