Universal Power Group (UPG) gives its customers a charge. The company is a leading distributor of sealed lead-acid batteries to manufacturers and retailers in the US. Other products include lithium and nickel-cadmium batteries, portable battery-powered products including jump starters, solar power generators, and solar panels. UPG also supplies components used in security systems, including alarm panels, perimeter access controls, sirens, speakers, cable, and wire. In addition, UPG provides services such as inventory management, kitting and packaging, and battery recycling. ADT Security Services (16% of sales), Cabelas, Protection One, and RadioShack are among the company’s customers.
